I DO NOT UNDERSTAND SOMETHING ABOUT MY MEMBERSHIP

If it is an individual membership with the Texas Gulf Coast chapter, contact the chapter office at adminservices@usgbctexasgulfcoast.org. Please note the type of membership you are asking about, and include any questions you may have in your email.

I AM SERIOUS. I WANT TO GET INVOLVED WITH THE CHAPTER

It is very easy to get involved with the chapter. We always suggest the following:

First, attend our chapter events to meet people who share your passions and interests.

Second, join a committee and volunteer on it. Everything happens on the committee level in USGBC-Texas Gulf Coast Chapter so this is the best way to learn what you need to know about how the chapter operates.

Here are the best ways to do both of these suggestions:

1. Go to WHAT WE DO and review our committees. Contact the committee chair directly to learn the details and meetings times, dates and so forth of the committee you would like to join.

2. Review our extensive calendar and attend the events. Our board members and our committee members attend the meetings so this is the very best way to learn how the chapter can help you. We are updating the calendar all the time, so check back often!

Texas Moves One Step Closer to Chapter Consolidation

After two years of planning, the four existing USGBC Chapters in Texas (Texas Gulf Coast, Central Texas-Balcones, North Texas, and Chihuahuan Desert) have reached the final stages of consolidation into a single State Chapter. The merger will create a more efficient statewide organization that will be better able to serve all members throughout our large and diverse state. By removing the local administrative burden, the State Chapter will free Regions to concentrate on developing new programs, engaging their communities and focusing on service to members.

For more information on this important topic, download the Texas Merger FAQ Fact Sheet.

We want to hear from you, our members! Please contact Texas Gulf Coast Region Chair Sergio Grado and Chair-Elect David MacLean to share your questions and comments about the Chapter consolidation process.
